Stylish Wedding Guest Outfit Ideas
As a wedding guest, we all know the pressures that loom…whether it’s reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, perusing potential dates, keeping track of the trigger happy photographer, or god forbid, the ultimate fashion faux-pas of wearing the same outfit as someone else! While it is all about the bride, we still want to look fabulous as a guest so we are going to share some wedding guest outfit ideas, particularly focusing on some alternative looks that will set you apart from the crowds:
LOOK 1: BOSS BLAZER
I love pairing a statement white blazer with summery colours, so I decided on this beautiful cut out blazer from Marcéla London for this look. While I respect those who confidently pair colours and patterns, I tend to prefer pairing block colours with a buffer of white or neutrals. Both the trousers and bag are preloved from Jacquemus, the beautiful lime green trousers are 100% linen sourced from The Real Real in New York, featured in our Luxury Vintage Guide for New York, while the Le Chiquito Molten Pink bag was rented via ByRotation. Finally I paired the look with a simple white cotton crop top to accentuate the waist and length of the legs, blush pink Amina Muaddi heels for some added height and a pair of vintage Versace sunglasses sourced from Treasures of NYC, also featured in our New York Vintage Guide.

LOOK 2: 80S CHIC
Not one for the faint hearted as this look features black which for some people is a real no no for a wedding. I personally love black even for a wedding but that could be a decisive statement…Here I have paired a beautiful vintage YSL orange silk blazer, sourced from Rellik (Coming soon to our London Vintage Guide), with high waisted black crepe COS trousers and black strappy Iris & Ink heels.

LOOK 3: GAME SET MATCH
A wedding guest outfit with a vintage touch. I spotted this beautiful Valentino matching linen set from Rellik on a recent trip to the boutique in West London. With a perfect mix of summer chic and cool and original, this outfit is a fabulous wedding guest outfit:
LOOK 4: THE RISK TAKER
When it comes to the black rule, this look pushes the boundaries one step further…maybe not one for the summer but rather for autumn, winter or even a cooler spring wedding, this Simona Rocha feather trimmed embossed black pant suit certainly makes a statement. Sourced from Storm in a Teacup, (Coming soon to our London Vintage Guide) and is available to rent via ByRotation and our instagram @circularstyle_, click on the image below or DM for more details:

LOOK 5: FLORAL…FOR SPRING….GROUNDBREAKING
Finally, we can’t knock the firm wedding dress favourite, the pretty floral or patterned dress! Although you won’t be jumping out from the crowd, there is something about a pretty, floaty dress on a warm, summer’s day that works perfectly for a wedding. Our chosen spot to source pretty, ‘priory’ style and sustainable dresses is the beautiful Laura Von Behr boutique in Islington (Coming soon to our London Vintage Guide). She has a beautiful selection of vintage dresses sourced from late 60s and 70s that are perfect as a wedding guest outfit, as they are a little different and 100% original. Her prices average around £100-120 and her boutique is available to visit by appointment only:
